Rubén de la Barrera stated in a press conference that “if you tell me that from now until the end of the season we win two out of every three games, I’ll sign it before a notary. In terms of standings, it would put us there. It’s a good aspirin.”

“We approach the week naturally, as we did in the previous two after victories. We need to adjust what wasn’t done well so it doesn’t happen again. Recognizing situations is important.”

“There’s no better way to prepare than by addressing what led us to lose the game. This is a sport played by people, and mistakes are part of the game. The key is not to make the same mistake again. We can make mistakes, but in other things.”

“Leganés is surely coming in confident after their last victory and how it happened. Every game is different. They will come to press and wait, defending close to their goal. We have to create scenarios where they are uncomfortable, like running, attacking behind their lines, counterattacks, or set pieces.”

“The transfer market didn’t worry me, and now that it’s closed, that’s it. I’m very happy with the players we have, that we’re going to be a competitive team, and that we’ll do things well. It’s going to be hard to beat us, although this league has 42 matchdays.”

“In the team, no one is indisputable. If I feel that someone can help us win, I’m the first one interested in lining them up. I aspire to reach a point in the season, hopefully soon, where the presence or absence of someone doesn’t affect the team’s performance.”

“We have to support Rafa Cruz. He did very well in Carranza or helped us on the day against Albacete. Rafa participated in the victory against Ceuta. He’s a 16-year-old kid, and we need to stay calm. I want to play the academy players, not expose them.”
