UD Las Palmas and Argentine midfielder Peñalba have reached a deal to rescind his contract, which runs out on 30th June. Gabriel Peñalba (born Quilmes, Buenos Aires, 23/09/1984) became the first winter signing for UD Las Palmas in the 17/18 season, working under then manager Paco Jémez, featuring in seven matches.
In February 2018, during the game against Sevilla at the Estadio Gran Canaria, Peñalba suffered an injury that kept him out of action for 10 months. He reappeared last December, in the derby match between UD Las Palmas and CD Tenerife at the Estadio Gran Canaria. This season he played a total of 848 minutes and featured in 13 LaLiga 1|2|3 encounters.
