Nauzet Pérez has been presented as UD Las Palmas’ new goalkeeper, having passed his medical this morning at the Hospital Perpetuo Socorro. He was accompanied by Toni Otero, who stated “he is a goalkeeper who has played in several successful promotions, has played in the preliminary stage of the Champions League, and has a long playing history. His success will be shared by all of us”.

Las Palmas’ latest signing was excited about coming back to the club, that according to him “helped me develop as a player. I am now back with more experience, and I want to help take the club back to the top flight where it belongs”. Regarding his arrival at the club, he said “all my family and friends were aware of my desire to come here, time went by and it didn’t look like it was possible, but I am now really pleased to be able to help my home club”.

“We are in for a tough season, but we will try to be up towards the top from the very start. I didn’t need to be told our objective is to get promotion, because UD Las Palmas is a first division club”, the player made it clear. Regarding the battle for the goalkeeper’s spot and whether it is harder because he is from the Canaries, Nauzet Pérez indicated “it doesn’t matter if the player playing is Canarian or not, the important thing is to help and be part of a competitive team. My greatest asset is my day to day work, and whoever it is that decides who to pick, that is up to him”, he concluded in the press room at the Estadio Gran Canaria.
