Luis García: "The greatest excitement is to see the stadium practically full tomorrow"
The yellow coach assured that tomorrow's match "is a historic duel between two teams that are having a good season. Everyone still has a chance for everything, and without a doubt, it is a special match because of how people are feeling about it."
The coach of UD Las Palmas, Luis García, appeared before the media in the press room of the Ciudad Deportiva, ahead of the match that the yellows will play tomorrow against RC Deportivo. Regarding the match, the coach stated that "it is clear that we are facing a great rival, their goal is promotion. It is a very important match, we place tremendous importance on the support of our people, we are excited to play a great game and be able to earn three points."
These were some of his statements:
"Dépor has decisive players, I hope we can take the game where we want and be deserving of the victory."
"It could be Yeremay, or it could be Mella or Soriano, they have a tremendous squad. The idea remains the same, to attack and defend collectively. I think we have to be very balanced, solid when we don't have the ball, and apply the nuances that may arise in each game."
"The medical report is similar to last week. I think we can keep improving in everything. The most important thing is that the team has not stopped taking steps forward. What you did in matchday 2 doesn't work for you in matchday 21."
"Yeremay is the most valuable player in Segunda, all teams have very good players. We have an idea, which is to attack and defend together, one player cannot condition us so much."
"It is a beautiful match, no doubt about it. It is a historic duel between two teams that are having a good season. Everyone still has time for everything, and without a doubt, it is a special match because of how people are feeling about it. It is a special match, where people will go to enjoy it, hopefully, we can play a good game and give them the victory."
"We are happy with the path we have taken so far, surely the older ones are more aware of the difficulty of the journey. We have to remain humble, with our feet on the ground, the greatest excitement is seeing the stadium practically full tomorrow, that is what I want, for people to get excited, and that is what we have to keep generating."
"The credit always goes to the players. We try to help them enjoy it because, although it's hard to believe, in professional football, there are more bad moments than good ones. Just like with Jesé, we try to make everyone enjoy the profession, so they are closer to performing better and becoming better."
"Kirian will probably train with the group again today, he has had some discomfort. We have six frantic months ahead of us, where we will have very good moments and not so good ones, and we are going to need everyone."
"Regardless of the result, it is the process that matters. Being aware of the difficulty, we strongly believe in the individual and collective improvement of the players, and from there, we will see how far we can go."
