Manolo Jiménez revealed his disappointment at not getting victory against RC Deportivo this evening. "It has been a tremendous error not to have killed off this game, we had our chances but we were not clear cut and at the last gasp they equalized".

As for how the match went the trainer spoke of the his team’s superiority in the second half. "Dépor started dominating the game and gave us the run around, but after half time we took control and ran the show". With regard to the changes he made, Jiménez stated "we didn’t want to be overrun in midfield and we were able to put a stop to our rivals’ threat down the middle".

As for Rubén Castro, who had to abandon the match, Manolo Jiménez said "he got a knock in the eye and couldn’t see properly. We decided to send him to hospital as a precaution".

"The referee sent me off after I asked him about a piece of play at the end of the match, that’s about it", responded the trainer following the referee’s decision to send him off at the end of the match.
