The sporting director of UD Las Palmas, Luis Helguera, was in charge of opening the press conference, thanking all parties for their willingness throughout the negotiation. "We present Jefté. He gives us a quality boost up front," he stated.

For his part, Jefté did not hide the emotion of returning home. "I am at the best moment of my career, both personally and in football. I am happy to be here, at home, after so much time. I come to give my best," he affirmed.
The forward assured that he approaches this new stage with maximum ambition and the goal of helping the team from day one. "I hope to give my best in terms of work and goals, which is what I do best. I am happy and will give 100% for this team."

Jefté acknowledged the special meaning of defending the yellow badge. "I have never hidden it, Las Palmas is the team of my life, since I was little. We are assimilating what the coach is asking of us, which is to be a more reference point forward."

During his speech, he recalled that his journey back to the club has been long and full of learning. "I think it wasn’t the right time before. Thank God I didn’t debut then, because everything happens for a reason. All the work I’ve done has been rewarded, and now I’m here."

Regarding preparation, he highlighted the importance of continuing to grow as a team. "Preseason matches help us gain rhythm and arrive strong at the start of the season. We have to keep improving."

As for objectives, Jefté made it clear that the collective comes before any individual goal. "My personal goal, besides scoring goals, is to work hard and be available for whatever is needed. On a group level, obviously, I want to achieve promotion, but first, we need to secure fifty points and always keep looking upward."

The forward also praised the level of the locker room and the potential of several of his teammates. "All the guys are impressive. Valentín’s physicality is incredible; he’s a bull. I’ve also been struck by the confidence of the younger players, like Rafa."

Finally, he highlighted the importance of sharing the locker room with experienced players like Jesé Rodríguez. "Being by his side is important. With everything he has achieved in football, he can bring a lot of experience."
