Manolo Jiménez: "La Romareda is a tough ground to play at"

Las Palmas trainer Manolo Jiménez has warned of the difficulties of playing in a stadium like La Romareda. "This ground demands a lot of you and we need to assert our personality there".

There are no reactions yet. Be the first!

"All games are special to me", dijo Manolo Jiménez regarding him being a former manager at Real Zaragoza. "Over and above the tactics we use is our attitude. We need to be ambitious, because we are a considered a team people want to beat. Zaragoza play from memory while we are yet to settle down", he admitted.

Jiménez is looking for Las Palmas to aim to be excellent. “We have been solid at times, and relaxed at other times. All points are vital and La Romareda is a tough stadium to play at. It is not that big, but the fans will be breathing down our necks. Both sides will be looking to attack if things go to plan”, he stated.

One of the new faces in the squad is German player Danny Blum. “Blum is a player who has come here because the club considers him to be an asset. I don’t know him, but I have seen him play on several occasions. I saw him in different fitness levels to now and for this reason reports were positive".

The trainer didn’t hint on any new signings, and said that 20 players will be travelling due to injuries to some players, as is the case of Lemos. The manager also revealed that Deivid is also ruled out with an ankle injury and that he hoped Sergio Araujo would be available in two weeks.
