Luis García addressed the media in the days leading up to the meeting at the Bahrain Victorious Nuevo Arcángel, where UD Las Palmas will face Córdoba CF in the second matchday of LALIGA HYPERMOTION. The yellow coach emphasized: “We will aim to be the same team away as we are at home. If you want to achieve important goals, we must be a reliable team away from home. We want UD to be the same team both away and at home.”

These were some of his statements:

“We have worked very well during the week, very focused on Monday's match in Córdoba. I would like to see progress, that we improve, because we know we have steps to take to become the team we want to be.”

“Córdoba retains many players and the coach from last year. They have very clear ideas, they are pressing at home where they feel comfortable. They were close to the playoffs for a long time last year. They are a good opponent to show ourselves against and take positive things from there.”

“The team is very motivated, they are doing very well. After the match with Andorra, we were disappointed because we did many things to win in front of our fans. In the end, in an unfortunate play, they managed to equalize in Andorra. They did it without even taking a shot on goal. But we are eager for a victory away from home, eager to get three points to keep improving.”

“Córdoba is always a bad memory for UD Las Palmas. We have to focus on the present and forget about things that have happened, like the previous result on their field. We have a good team to do things well, to compete well.”

“The team must continue to trust in the daily work. I am very happy with how we are working tactically and mentally every week because the competition will demand the maximum in all aspects of football.”
