Juan Manuel Rodríguez: "We must have the humility to face an eleven versus eleven match."

Juan Manuel Rodríguez, coach of Unión Deportiva Las Palmas, spoke to the media ahead of the Copa del Rey match against RSD Alcalá.

These were some of his statements:

"If we travel to play the Cup, it's because we are not going for a stroll. My players never go for a stroll. The regulations only allow 7 squad players and 4 reserve players on the field. That causes a problem."

"Alcalá is a team I have seen and, like all teams that play in the Cup, it's their day. Because if they advance in the round, they could face a First Division club."

"We must have the humility to face a match eleven against eleven. And if you don't put in the same effort as the opponent, if you don't start from that foundation, the match becomes complicated and negative."

"UD Las Palmas is going to represent the club and its fans in the Cup. Sportsmanship is above all in every aspect. I don't like extremes. I try to find balance in everything."

"Acimovic is a 19-year-old boy with a lot of potential, great enthusiasm, and immense hard work not lacking in skill. He is showing great determination. He is a player to keep in mind, who can contribute a lot to us."
