García Pimienta: "We played well, and I don't think we deserved to lose"

The yellow team's coach believes, "It's a shame. While it was a closely contested match, we had more control, and we hardly suffered."

García Pimienta appeared in the press room at the Gran Canaria Stadium after the defeat to Rayo Vallecano. He stated, "It's a shame; we played to win, and overall, we did quite well."

Some of his comments included:

"We had more control, and we hardly suffered. Moleiro did very well. He will do important things because he's very talented."

"The one who is most confident takes the penalty. In Villarreal, Marc asked to take it when Munir was going to, and today, it was the other way around."

"The pitch wasn't in great condition, but it's not an excuse. The rain made the field fast, and we didn't play badly."

"Munir is a very experienced player, and it's true he's not in his best form."

"We're up against an opponent who knows us well and tries to minimize our ball possession. Perrone played well with control and passing, but he's farther from the goal. They pay more attention to Moleiro, and the opponent tries to limit his ball reception. They wanted to protect against the most influential players."
