Diego Martínez: "The team deserved this victory long ago – they’ve done more than enough to earn it"

Las Palmas coach highlighted: “The team was ready to interpret every moment of the game. I’m very proud of all the players and of the fans who support us unconditionally, no matter the results.”

Speaking after the match at the Coliseum, Diego Martínez expressed his pride in the squad: “I’m very proud of all the players. Winning the three points again is a big emotional boost, and that’s the most important thing. This belief runs through the entire club — from the president to the rest of the staff, players and non-players alike.”

Here are some of his other comments:

“There are still seven games left and a lot of points to play for. But we’ll continue to be who we are — a group of warrior players. Today we beat a side that’s been doing things very well.”

“When everything is negative and no one believes in us, the victory has double the value. It carries a sense of rebellion and pride.”

“We understood the key moments of the match. We found the spaces because we read the game really well. The team was prepared to adapt to every phase of the match.”
