Rubén de la Barrera Fernández (01/18/1985, A Coruña) will take charge of the UD Las Palmas bench during the 2026/27 season, with an optional additional season, following the agreement reached between both parties to lead the club's new sports project.

Throughout his career, Rubén de la Barrera has managed teams such as CD Guijuelo, Cultural y Deportiva Leonesa, Real Valladolid Promesas, RC Deportivo de La Coruña, Albacete Balompié, and FC Vizela, in addition to having experience in international football and national teams.

Among his main achievements are promotions to the Second Division with Cultural y Deportiva Leonesa in the 2016/17 season, with RC Deportivo de La Coruña in the 2022/23 season, and with Albacete Balompié in the 2021/22 season, as well as his experience in the top tier of Portuguese and Romanian football and in top-level international competitions.

As a connoisseur of national football and with experience in different categories and competitive contexts, Rubén de la Barrera joins UD Las Palmas with the backing of an extensive coaching career and a strong footballing identity.
