Quique Setién: "We did enough to have won tonight"

UD Las Palmas coach Quique Setién stated tonight, following the draw against Deportivo de La Coruña, that "a single point is a great disappointment". "We did enough out there to have resolved this game in the first half":

There are no reactions yet. Be the first!

"We were able to regroup after Deportivo’s goal, but the sending off of Aythami certainly hit us hard", stressed Quique Setién. "It is certainly two points dropped, because we did plenty enough to have won the game".

He made special mention of Argentinian player Mateo García. "He is a player with a great future, and he does some extraordinary things", while he admitted he wanted to "put this last week behind us and look forward to the future".

Quique Setién also said that "there are many players in the dressing room who understand that what has gone on this week is the right way forward. The squad is fine and we will get stronger from this. We have done brilliantly this first half of the season".

Regarding his future as yellow’s manager, Setién made it clear that he hasn’t been negotiating with anyone. "I am awaiting the club’s next move concerning my re-signing"
