Pepe Mel: "I ask the fans to cheer us on in this game

"We need a breath of fresh air from our fans. I ask the fans to come along to the stadium and to get behind us. It is important that they are there with us. The earlier the club achieve their goal, the better it will be for everyone". Araujo and Blum are

There are no reactions yet. Be the first!

"We would have liked another kind of match, but the league is getting really tight. Our future depends on beating Lugo tomorrow", said Pepe Mel today. "They are a good footballing side. We haven’t watched videos of our rivals, but we know all about how Eloy Jiménez has got his previous teams to play", he admitted.

Second team player Cedrés has also been called up to the first team squad. “If I see lads who are able to provide things we need, such as pace, pulling away from their markers and who are performing well at a lower level, then I will give them a chance. Nobody is here just on a whim, and to stay with the first team depends on them", he underlined.

Mel didn’t reveal who would be starting in goal tomorrow. "Josep is ready, that is why he is in the first team, but following the game in Albacete I had already decided who would be playing". Regarding Sergio Araujo and Danny Blum he said that "they make us a better side", but he is still yet to decide whether they will be fit to start. As for Maikel Mesa he said he had taken a step forward and for this reason was in the squad of eighteen.

For the Madrid-born manager the support of the fans will be fundamental tomorrow. "I ask them to come to the stadium and cheer the team on. After the game they are free to make their own conclusions and to voice their opinions", he concluded.
