There are no reactions yet. Be the first!

Martín Mantovani was unveiled this afternoon at the press room of the Estadio Gran Canaria, in the company of Toni Otero, the club’s Technical Secretary. The latest signing wanted to thank his new club "for having thought of me and making me part of this project. I have talked to people who know the club and they have spoken highly of the set up. In terms of structure, and from what I’ve seen, UD Las Palmas are a First Division club".

"I’ve had offers from other clubs, but an institution such as Las Palmas, who are a heavyweight in Spanish football, was too good to turn down", said Mantovani. As for how he sees himself fitting in, he stated "I am a defender to sticks to his position, I go in hard for fifty-fifty balls and I give my all in every game. I am a humble person and through much sacrifice I have come to enjoy my football".

Mantovani made reference to his veteran status: "I’ve still got lots of football left in me, I have always played to the limit, and over the years I have felt really good" he concluded.
