Luis García appeared this Friday ahead of the match that will see UD Las Palmas face Real Zaragoza this Sunday at the Gran Canaria Stadium at 5:30 PM Canary time. Regarding the opponent, the yellow coach stated that "Zaragoza's situation is challenging and complicated. But they still have chances and will come to try to win the match. They will fight until the end." "No one should expect it to be an easy match against a historic rival that is playing for everything. We must respect the professionals and opponents. Personally, I know that club well, and it is a club that deserves all the respect in the world. They will fight very hard because they still have chances to save the category. We must stay grounded to get the match done. We have to play a great game to win again," he added.

These were some of his statements:

"The feelings are very good, but they have been throughout the year. The team has been growing and competing very well, with the goal of exciting our fans. The players have been striving for their best version, discovering things they needed to find, and that's where we are. It's the most important thing as a coach, to create value in a group and make people excited. There is still a lot of work to do, and we will keep pushing because we need to improve."

"The group is healthy and engaged. In Caro's case, I don't need to highlight him as a goalkeeper; he's one of the best in the category, with his own record. He is now permanently in the shadows, but he could have participated in the league. I highly value what happens behind the scenes. It is more important than being in the spotlight. They feel supported by him because experiencing it this way has great collective value when you've had a tough year in terms of minutes played."

"I have no other focus than Zaragoza, Zaragoza, and Zaragoza. With the points we have, we could miss out on the playoffs. We can only focus on Zaragoza. We must stay connected with our people. Even winning, the playoffs might not be secured. We must focus on this match and not think about anything else."

"From the very beginning, our humility has been at its highest. For us, this is the most important match of the year, the key one. We will give everything on the field."

"Viera is very important in difficult moments of the match because he brings his experience, composure, and calmness. He never feels pressured. He has experienced very beautiful things in football wearing the UD Las Palmas jersey. He will be very necessary both on and off the field."

"The team has tried to give its all to connect with the fans. I have felt them close; away from home, they have pushed us. We all need to take one more step in the connection between fans and the team. Hopefully, we can gift them a victory at home."

"We work mentally to be strong and take the match where it suits us. We know how difficult the match is. We must maintain 100 minutes of concentration or however long the match lasts to get it done."

"I didn't know Richi. He knows the context, certain players, and I am lucky to have a president who is focused on contributing to improve the squad. His incorporation is a tremendous success by the president in bringing Richi during this period. It is a one-thousand-percent success. We are delighted with him, and we are going to make the most of him."
