Both of the day's goals were contributed to by Jonathan Viera. He gave his teammate Loiodice a helper at 1-0. He then scored on a penalty kick to make it 2-0. After seven games, Las Palmas has 15 points and a higher goal average than Alavés.

In light of the most recent performance of the Gran Canaria team in Santander, coach Garca Pimienta made a number of changes to the starting eleven for UD Las Palmas. In a game without the U21 international player Alberto Moleiro, Coco, Mfulu, and Alvaro Jiménez regained their spots in the starting lineup.

The ball flowed through the yellow players' shoes from the start, ready to develop against an opponent who was organized in front of their goalie André. The first players to indicate the yellow risk were Jonathan Viera and Oscar Clemente. The captain fired a straight free kick into the Nasrid goalkeeper's hands, and the Tenerife player blasted fiercely but over the crossbar from outside the box.

Alvaro Jiménez came the closest to scoring the 1-0. After Clemente's cross, he fired a dry shot in the box, but the ball hit the post and returned to the field of play. Only 17 minutes had passed, and the local team's standing at the time was 75%.

Las Palmas also had to exercise great caution when executing a number of defensive tactical moves, particularly in the corners. In one of them, Victor Dáz's solid header left the scoreboard scoreless thanks to Alvaro Valles. La Rinconada's goalie put his glove under the sticks, just touching the ball that was already slipping into his goal.

After that scare, Las Palmas redoubled their efforts to get the goal they were after just before halftime. Jonathan Viera made the play, and Enzo Loiodice scored with his right leg. The Frenchman had moved closer to the penalty spot in order to get the ball over the line the Granada goalie and the defenders.

The over 13,500 supporters in attendance cheered the Union Deportiva's well-deserved goal, which was once again the team that started the scoring for the day. The team had to control the score in the second half as Granada fielded former yellows Sergio Ruiz and Raul Fernández, the latter because goalie André was injured.

The confrontation went without issue in the two defensive areas for half an hour. In the closing stretch, Garcia Pimienta decided to give Sandro Ramirez an opportunity to make his debut and refresh other positions. When the Gran Canarian striker went onto the wet ground in the yellow jersey, the crowd gave him a standing ovation.
