UD Las Palmas and Andrés Rodríguez Martínez (Lorca, Murcia, 31/5/2002) have reached an agreement for the defender to join the yellow team. The player, who joins the club as a free agent, will wear the UD Las Palmas jersey for the next four seasons.
Andrés Rodríguez arrives at UD after establishing himself in recent seasons as one of the defenders with the greatest potential in the Primera Federación. A right-footed player, though proficient with both feet, he can play in all defensive positions. Fast, powerful, and strong in aerial play, the new signing of UD Las Palmas is known for his aggressive one-on-one defending and high tactical intelligence.
Trained in the youth ranks of Villarreal CF, the Murcian footballer completed his development in the academy of the "Yellow Submarine." He later played for Cartagena B and Racing Murcia, both in the Tercera Federación, continuing his progression with Yeclano Deportivo, with whom he achieved promotion from Segunda Federación to Primera Federación.
After his time with Yeclano, Andrés Rodríguez played for CD Alcoyano and CD Teruel, gaining experience in the third tier of Spanish football and becoming a regular in his coaches' lineups thanks to his consistency, commitment, and versatility.
