Álex Suárez: "Zaragoza has a lot at stake. We will apply our idea to try to win."

Manu Fuster appeared in the pre-match press conference ahead of the game against Real Zaragoza, where he stated, "We focus on ourselves because we know we have to win. We look at the rivals to see what happens. We will be attentive, but without losing our focus. Direct promotion does not depend solely on us."

Álex Suárez appeared at the press conference prior to the match between UD Las Palmas and Real Zaragoza, next Sunday at the Gran Canaria Stadium. Regarding the event, the yellow player highlighted that “We are very excited. Players enjoy these decisive moments. I try to share my experience with the younger players. We are all creating something very beautiful, which we hope will turn out well.”

These were some of his statements:

“These matches are very dangerous because it seems like they are won before they even start. Zaragoza has a lot at stake, staying in the league and in the Second Division. When a team is wounded, it’s more dangerous. We will apply our strategy to try to win.”

“In Almería, I felt very good and ended up very tired. Almería demanded a lot, but I felt very comfortable on the field. I didn’t have any issues, just fatigue. Having experienced promotion once was incredible, doing it again would be even more so. I don’t think I’ll reach three like Jonathan Viera if we make it, because that’s very difficult. I’m confident we’re going to achieve it.”

“The victory in Almería was a great joy and at the same time a relief because we had the obligation to beat a big team away from home. For me, they are the best team in the league after us. We started losing, but we came back. The result was a confidence boost for what’s to come.”

“I don’t see a leader who takes on all the responsibility. Jonathan Viera brings us a lot of experience because of what he has already lived through. We know he is a leader, and we try to stay close to him.”

“In Almería, I felt the same as in the other promotion. I don’t know what it was; the way we won, when we came together with the fans, I felt that unity, something different that I noticed was missing. I hope the fans bring that special energy on Sunday. I hope it continues like that for the upcoming matches.”

“For Pejiño to score the goal in Almería was also important for him. We need to recover him because he is very valuable to us. Jonathan also gave us that extra boost. We are all united, and everyone has their moment. We have one of the best squads, and that detail, along with experience, will be important in the playoffs. If we make it to the playoffs, we are going to succeed.”
