David Timor is the latest player to join the squad, and the midfielder said "my signing has been long in coming but the footballing project and the club’s history decided it for me". Timor spoke of his favourite area of the pitch, saying that anywhere in midfield "are fine by me, both offensively and defensively", adding: "I can bring experience to the team and I will try to adapt as soon as possible because I want to return the trust the club has placed in me".

"I believe with the team we have we can go anywhere and win", said the Valencia-born player, in reference to the good quality players in the squad. Las Palmas have played three matches so far this season and Timor has watched them play, and has defended their playing style, saying "for the way they play, with lots of possession, it is easy to see why they dominate matches".

During his presentation he said how tough the second division was and how long the season runs on for, saying "the key is to be patient. Any team in this league can upset you".
