Las Palmas’ latest signing, Hadi Sacko, was unveiled this evening to the media in which he showed his excitement about being with the club: "Their ambition and keenness to bring me here were very important", he declared. "I follow La Liga, which is an important competition, and that also influenced my decision to come here".

Sacko explained that his football style has always been based on "velocity and moving the ball forward quickly. I believe I can bring quality to the team. I watched the game against Leeds and Las Palmas were very quick on the break. This suits my style of play", he pointed out. The Frenchman defined himself as a player who could slot in in several different positions up front, although he stressed: "if I am given the choice, I prefer a centre forward role. I normally play wide on the right, and also down the left, in an attacking position, but if I have to switch around during the season, then I am quite willing to do so".

On being asked about his lack of playing time at Leeds United, he said that last season "I had a new trainer who told me it would be difficult for me to get into the side. After my injury, my teammates were doing a good job and it was hard for me to fight my way back into the team".

Regarding his arrival and his knowledge of the island, he surprised those present with his answer, saying of Gran Canaria "it is a great destination, but I have not come here for fun, but to work hard. I hope to add my qualities to the team, and help the club be successful. I can’t wait to get started", he concluded in his appearance in the press room at the Estadio Gran Canaria.
