"As a trainer I know that results are everything", he stated referring to his position as trainer following four consecutive defeats. "The players are hurt after having played so well against Real Sociedad and ending up losing. They are keen on getting their revenge and changing things around. We know just what it would mean to win at the Santiago Bernabéu".

UD Las Palmas’ trainer, Quique Setién, was questioned regarding recent refereeing decisions.   "I am worried only about the things I can control, we accept referees make mistakes and that they are only human".

Quique Setién said that "Cristiano Ronaldo is a superb player, with a huge talent, and he has been at the top of his game for years, although the way I read the game I consider Messi to be a better footballer".

"Jesé is now starting to find his feet and is really fired up. He actually feels especially responsible because he brought a lot of expectation with him when he signed on for us. The day he scores his first goal for us will be the first of many, I am sure", he stated, referring to the ex-Madrid player currently on loan at Las Palmas from PSG.

"We will try to keep hold of the ball. We are not going to change our playing style. We know that there will be moments in tomorrow’s match when we will have to defend really well", he stressed.

Finally, he made it clear there would be no changes to the position of goalkeeper: "Javi Varas is doing fine and has our full backing. His mistake the other day has no influence whatsoever. Raúl Lizoain will get his chance to play over the rest of the season", he ensured those present.
