Pepe Mel watched the match from the stands and saw how his team went down to their third consecutive defeat, saying, "we made a schoolboy error in their first goal that put us out of the match",adding "the game couldn’t have gone any worse for us in all it aspects".

"We cannot achieve anything if we let in 8 goals in 3 games”, Mel continued. He spoke of the players he is missing at the moment, saying "I cannot make excuses for not having them available, but it is a burden. It doesn’t give us any scope for changing things".

Pepe Mel took responsibility for his team’s defeat and accepts that the figure of manager at times like this is fundamental, saying "I will convince my players once again that we can beat Alcorcón".
