Paco Jémez: “We will fight until the end”

Paco Jémez spoke of the complicated situation his team are going through, referring to lack of footballing resources, stressing: “my players are not lacking in attitude, they are playing hard and give everything they have. The dressing room is gloomy and under these circumstances it is really hard for every player to turn in a top performance”. 

“We are competing with what we have, it is hard for us to hurt other teams and this creates the feeling of helplessness” the manager clearly stated. As for whether he thought there was still a chance of his side staying up, Jémez acknowledged it is really complicated and the team are not looking good, but he said “we will fight tooth and nail right until the end with professionalism, sacrifice, effort and dignity because that it what I have asked of the players”.

The yellows’ trainer made it clear that “we will continue to fight in respect for the club, the city and the fans” as he concluded in the press room at the Estadio Gran Canaria.
