Paco Jémez: "We need to focus on ourselves and not worry about the rest of the teams"

Jémez made it clear about how he saw the results of other rival teams in the fight to stay up, saying "we mustn’t look and see what other teams are doing, but to focus on what we are doing".

Paco Jémez admitted he is not satisfied with everything the team has shown so far, and said "we need to show we are the better team, I know what we are capable of and for this reason I have to demand more of the team".

"If we let Villarreal have too much possession we’ll be dead and buried. We need to dominate the match ourselves" he stated with reference to how he wants his team to play tomorrow in the Estadio Gran Canaria.

Tomorrow will be Paco Jémez’s 50th match in charge of Las Palmas, the sum of two different periods. He said he was happy, and he thought "getting out of the relegation places would be a great reward. That’s 50 so far and I hope there will be many more" he concluded in the press room at El Hornillo training ground.
