“This is no time to talk about anyone’s future, but to focus on the team, and to think that tomorrow we are not mathematically down in the second division. If we are relegated with four matches to go, that will really hurt us”, he stated.

Jémez calls on the fans to get behind his side, although he recognizes ”any explanations right now might sound like excuses. The fans are free to do what they want, and I hope they get behind us in our current plight”.

The yellows trainer will make some changes to his team’s starting line-up for the visit tomorrow of Deportivo Alavés. As for his team’s limitations going forward, the manager was clear, saying “it is frustrating not hitting the target, but we will continue to work to create scoring chances”.

Paco Jémez acknowledged that "trainers are always lonely figures, but I have the backing of my players. It is normal for the club not to make any statement right now about what has gone on, as it is not the time give any explanations.”

When questioned on the mood in the dressing room, Jémez responded “the players are aware of the importance of tomorrow’s match, but given our situation they are not in the happiest of modos.”
