UD Las Palmas secures a third consecutive victory and heightens the excitement of its fans (2-1)

Add and continue. UD Las Palmas' progress goes on with a new victory at the Estadio de Gran Canaria (2-1) against Real Valladolid. The yellows took the lead with goals from Jesé and Estanis Pedrola, dominated the game for many minutes, and then, when the Pucela team narrowed the score, they worked to defend a valuable lead that strengthens their position in the promotion playoff zone. The three points stay on the island with four matchdays remaining, and everything is possible.

Luis García Fernández found no reason this Sunday to modify the starting eleven that had played from the beginning in the previous match against Cádiz, which resulted in an away victory. And the start of the game reinforced the coach's initial decisions, as before the second minute of play, Jesé Rodríguez had already put his team ahead by scoring on the first shot.

Las Palmas came onto the field with determination, and their attacking play was fluid and quick. This was evident in the 1-0 goal, a collective action where the ball was passed around until Fuster delivered a cross that Jesé converted into a goal, finishing at the far post.

That goal gave the yellows wings, although the match would go through other phases of greater balance. Valladolid started to find their rhythm as the minutes passed, although their attacks failed to disturb Dinko Horkas's calm during the first half.

Las Palmas maintained their style of play until halftime, dominating possession (63.3% at the break) and creating some opportunities to extend the lead. The best chances came from Ale García—with a low shot near the post—and Kirian—with a shot from outside the box that was saved by goalkeeper Aceves—marking the most incisive moments of the first half.

The 2-0 came at the start of the second half, at a moment in the game when it seemed Valladolid was beginning to push forward and create their first chance. However, Estanis Pedrola scored the second goal of the night after a play involving a pass from Manu Fuster—his second assist of the day. The Catalan winger found space as he entered the box and then shot precisely beyond the reach of goalkeeper Aceves.

The match entered its final phase with some uncertainty, as Valladolid reduced the deficit through a set-piece goal by Biuk. It was then that the home team's effort multiplied to maintain their lead until the end.

The concerning note of the night, however, was the injury to defender Sergio Barcia, who was unable to finish the match.
