Luis García: "We look at the next match with the same level of commitment, with the same desire to improve and to play a good game to get three points again."
The coach stated before the Andorra match that "both of us will try to keep possession and be protagonists, surely neither will change their way of understanding the game, and the areas will determine the course of the match."
The UD Las Palmas coach, Luis García, spoke to the media in the press room of the Ciudad Deportiva, where he highlighted Andorra, saying, "It is a very interesting team, very attractive to watch. Personally, I am glad they are doing well, they are having a great season and have a very clear idea of how they want to play and sign players based on that playing model."
These were some of his statements:
"Both of us will try to have the ball and be protagonists, surely neither will change their way of understanding the game, the areas will determine the development of the match."
"I am calm, without a doubt when I came, I knew the magnitude of UD Las Palmas and the responsibility you have when you accept to manage such a big club. I handle it by trying to maintain that balance, personally I have it, on a family level you are calm and stable, and the day-to-day at the club is extraordinary."
"I know that Jesé is always trying to help the young players, when we have more private conversations, he always asks me how I am. We have different types of leaders who are very necessary, we are seeing a much more mature Jesé who is eager to help."
"The only thing I think and see as sustainable is to keep demanding from ourselves every day. Ambitious goals require an ambitious mindset. We have that level of commitment, we look at the next match with the same level of commitment, with the same desire to improve and to play a good game to get another three points."
"The least important thing right now is the renewal, there are still four games left in which we have to give our all."
"Sandro is undergoing treatment to completely clear up those discomforts he has, we have to be watchful to see how he evolves."
"The doctor told me yesterday afternoon that Jonathan is dealing with some intestinal problems and will not be able to play in the match."
"It’s not the end yet, we still have games ahead. I hope Viera can help us, his presence is important because of his experience and his career."
"I still don’t know who will play between the two (Álex Suárez and Herzog), they are very prepared, and I am very calm. I feel bad because I will be unfair to one of them, each can bring us different things, and the commitment of both is undeniable."
"As for Sergio Barcia, he has had an extraordinary season, it’s been a very good year for him."
"I hope we are at a very good level because we will need it against a very good opponent who does things very well."
"I have learned many things here, personally and humbly I try to absorb everything. UD has helped me a lot to improve as a coach and as a person. The personal growth has been very significant, I was very eager to feel the day-to-day again. I am happy, working, and enjoying the improvement of the players."
"I live very much in the present, it’s something that is undervalued. I am passionate about training, finding solutions, and trying to surpass ourselves. It has been a very demanding season, and I am enjoying it a lot."
