Manu Fuster: "It's a vital match, but the team is calm, has maturity, and has confidence in itself."

Manu Fuster appeared in the pre-match press conference ahead of the game against UD Almería, where he stated, "Apart from individual qualities, Almería's greatest strength is the counterattack. We cannot afford turnovers that could lead to these transitions. The game depends on controlling those key players they have, because as soon as they find a small space to counterattack, they are very dangerous."

Manu Fuster appeared at the press conference prior to the match between UD Las Palmas and UD Almería, which will take place next Saturday at the UD Almería Stadium. Regarding the event, the yellow team player highlighted that “The team is focused on promotion. We are going to push the first option to the limit, which is direct promotion. People are free to believe or not; but we in the locker room believe.”

These were some of his statements:

“It is a very demanding league. This year, the teams at the top are earning more points than on other occasions. That makes the goal more complicated. I see the team doing well. The physical drop in the second half was more on a mental level, seeing how the game was slipping away. If the result affects you emotionally, it seems like you are physically worse. In these matches, what matters most is the mindset, and that is what we need to keep under control.”

“Personally, I feel like an important player. It depends more on me than on the environment. The club believed in me, even though last year didn’t go as I would have liked. Right now, I feel good, confident, thanks to the trust the coach has in me. I don’t know if it’s the best moment of my career, but I’m at that level. I have to take advantage of it to help the team. A promotion to the First Division changes everyone’s perspective and football life. I’m going to give it my all.”

“Nervousness is not present in the locker room. We have experienced players, with promotion experience, who handle it normally. They make us feel secure. The team looks good, in the playoff spots and with chances for direct promotion; it’s not easy.”
