Burgos CF took all 3 points from the Estadio de Gran Canaria this Sunday, defeating UD Las Palmas 1-2 in a match where the home team showed two different faces. The yellows dominated extensively in the first half, going into the break with the lead provided by a goal from Jesé. However, the visiting team later scored twice on counterattacks, the last one in stoppage time, to seal the score in their favor.
Rubén de la Barrera's team managed to execute the first half according to their game plan, with abundant ball possession (65%), nine shots, and a goal scored by Jesé.
The yellow forwards created plenty of work for Burgos goalkeeper Cantero, who saved several shots and also saw some attempts by Juanma and Iván Jaime narrowly miss his goal. He also heard the crack of his crossbar up close when Jesé, with the score still tied, unleashed a powerful shot from outside the box.
The second half began with a setback, as Burgos equalized the match with a quick play down the left. Alex Forés managed to break free on the left side of the attack, finishing in front of Caro with a chipped shot that Juanma Herzog almost managed to block.
Las Palmas reactivated their game with substitutions, all of them offensively minded. Rafa Cruz forced Cantero to make a reflex save in the 65th minute.

And it was in stoppage time that a new Burgos counterattack was sealed by David González, who delivered a mid-height shot when he was already facing goalkeeper Caro.
