Manolo Jiménez: "It's time to turn things around"

UD Las Palmas manager recognised his team needs to be more "practical" in order to end their poor run. He said that the dressing room was united, but that the last three results have jolted the team's confidence.

"These last three results have knocked our confidence a bit. But the players are a tight-knit group, and are a great crowd. They have deserved much more than what they have got out of the three games, where we weren't quite ourselves. We have fewer points than what the VAR would give us", said Manolo Jiménez, who will not be present at the post match press conference against CD Numancia for personal reasons.

The trainer said "we need to dig ourselves out of this rut by winning games and playing as well as possible. Few teams have played like Zaragoza did in the first half against us, and yet they are in a similar position to us. We need to be practical at this level, as we are yet to fully adapt to it, and we need to start picking up more points".

"People have been talking about pressure since June. It has come upon us because it has been talked about so much. We will attempt to turn things around. With effort and quality the team should pull clear. Numancia are a great side", he said. He didn't reveal whether his three strikers, Rubén Castro, Araujo and Rafa Mir will all be starting tomorrow's clash.
