Luis García: "We have earned the opportunity to fight to return to the First Division. We must have enough calm to enjoy the journey as we have done since we arrived here."

"These matches are prepared in a normal way. We should not change the way we organize the week, even though it is special. After the match, we will hardly have time to train. We are maintaining the same calmness and normality that we have had throughout the year. We are prepared and aware," stated the yellow team's coach.

Luis García appeared this Friday ahead of the match that will see UD Las Palmas face Málaga CF this Sunday at the Gran Canaria Stadium at 8:00 PM Canary time. Regarding the opponent, the yellow coach stated, "We must maintain an optimal level of activity, always based on our idea, order, and mental balance, which will be fundamental throughout the playoffs. There will be challenging moments, but the team is very mentally prepared to overcome those instances." "In La Coruña, I met with the three captains to thank them for their contribution because they have played a significant role in getting us here. It is very difficult to reach where we are, given the complexity of the league, if we hadn't had such a healthy locker room with so much ambition and enthusiasm. They have shown great resilience in difficult moments," he added.

These were some of his statements:

"We must be ourselves more than ever, to build the game in a balanced way and control the transitions, which we know are dangerous from Málaga. We must not be afraid to make mistakes. We know this is a 200-minute tie, and we must always stay in it, without disconnecting, because mistakes are costly. I am confident we will have a great tie."

"I don't claim anything. I focus on the work of my players to create value and help the club grow. The only thing I try to do is be honest, make the best decisions possible in my work, knowing that sometimes I will make mistakes. I constantly make decisions knowing that some people won't like them."

"We must not rush the clock to get to Sunday's match or the end of the tie. We have earned the right to enjoy the playoffs with the utmost enthusiasm, to compete very well."

"I thank the fans because they have made us better, they have helped us grow. Criticism has also helped me grow. We have felt their presence in every stadium in Spain. We have heard them both at home and away. 'Thank you' is the simplest word and the one with the most meaning of all."

"This week, I have seen the players doing very well, with a lot of intensity and enthusiasm. Their eyes are shining. More than ever, the players who have participated less are important because everyone needs to be ready to step onto the field and achieve our goals. Surely, the starting eleven I choose on Sunday will be different from the next day due to the short recovery time we have."

"We have brought normality to the little normality that exists in the final stretch of the league. We need the recklessness of the young players and the balance of the more responsible ones, as well as the experience of the veterans. We need that balance to know how to play the games within the game itself."

"We all know each other very well. Málaga is a great opponent with an extraordinary coach who has done an incredible job with young players of great potential. On Sunday, we will see if there are any surprises in the lineup."
