Las Palmas remains unbeaten away with a great goal by Lukovic (1-1)

UD Las Palmas remains unbeaten as a visitor in the current Second Division League. This Friday, they managed to secure a valuable point (1-1) against Huesca at the Aragonese stronghold. The match had two distinct phases, with the yellows forced to react after the 1-0 in the first half. But in the final stretch, Milos Lukovic launched a missile, scoring an excellent goal and establishing the final draw.

There are no reactions yet. Be the first!

Kirian Rodríguez was the main novelty in the starting eleven of UD Las Palmas that visited the El Alcoraz stadium. The player from Tenerife had not been in the starting lineup of a match since February 3, in a league game against Girona in Montilivi.

Las Palmas approached the match with the patience already shown in previous situations. Huesca placed numerous players in the visitors' half, with a pressing strategy clearly aimed at disrupting the initial maneuvers of the yellow team.

During the first half-hour, the match remained very tight, with two high shots from the Aragonese team and a chance from Ale García, with a cross into the area that went behind Milos Lukovic's striking position.

The match seemed to be under complete control of the Canary team when the ball was distributed among the islanders' feet. With that calmness, Las Palmas managed to keep Huesca away from Dinko Horkas's area, forcing the opposing players to exert themselves in their pressing efforts.

Las Palmas had little presence in the Aragonese area in the first half, unable to break through Huesca's defensive vigilance, let alone find a ball in optimal positions for a shot.

When it seemed that the match's truce would end in a goalless draw, a play on the right by Huesca resulted in a goal against Horkas after a header by Enol. The forward directed the ball away from the Croatian goalkeeper's position.

In 22 seconds after the restart, Las Palmas tried to change the course of the match. That was the time the yellow team took to create a play and produce the first dangerous shot, a long-range effort by Kirian. The ball went close to one of Huesca's posts.

Iván Gil and Ale García were the next yellow attackers to take shots in the following minutes, in a second half that had a different footballing dynamic. Las Palmas made substitutions, adjusted their system, gained possession, and finally, the scenario became recognizable.

It took until the 78th minute to celebrate the goal that secured the final draw, scored by Milos Lukovic. The young Serbian finished a play initiated by Barcia and Ale García. The forward delivered a great shot from the corner of the area that went in at mid-height near the post.

In the final stretch, both teams took many precautions. The hard-fought draw was achieved with great effort, although in the last moment Jaime Mata managed a forced and imprecise shot.
