Jonathan Viera: The squad is prepared, we're arriving in good shape

UD Las Palmas player Jonathan Viera stated: I see the lads well, I see them calm, and we must have faith in them.

There are no reactions yet. Be the first!

UD Las Palmas player Jonathan Viera spoke to the media gathered at Ciudad Deportiva after the morning session. The team continues its preparation for the first match of the season, which kicks off this Saturday against RCD Mallorca. Viera highlighted: "We're expecting a tough opponent, they are a gritty team with the talent to cause damage. It will be a challenging match like the rest of the season."

Here are some of his statements:

"Physically, I'm well, it's been a while since I had a preseason like this. We're looking forward to Saturday's match. This year it will be crucial to be very strong at home. The style of play will remain the same, otherwise, we'd have problems. We've shown once in La Liga that we can play our football and we'll do it again."

"When people become season ticket holders and support the team, it means things are being done right. The team is growing, the club is growing, and that's very important. Years pass, and there's less time left in my football career, but I'm very excited to play in great stadiums again."

"Money is important, but you have to value many other things that keep me here and make me want to stay. I'm very happy here, there have been two offers I turned down, and I'm focused on Saturday's match."

"On Saturday, we are who we are. I don't know if more signings will come, with the players we have, we have to go out and play with the same team that we've been for a while. Anyone who joins has to do it to contribute. I've been with Munir this week, he seems like a fantastic guy, he's a player who can bring a lot of good things to us."
