Alejandro Gálvez, the loanee defender from SD Eibar, was unveiled this afternoon in the press room at Estadio Gran Canaria alongside Toni Cruz, who pointed out "he won’t be able to play in our game against SD Eibar". The player’s first words were to thank UD Las Palmas and Paco Jémez for the confidence they have shown in him, as he played under him in his time at Rayo Vallecano.
UD Las Palmas’ new defender said "I hope everything goes well, and that we can escape relegation", adding, "I am really looking forward to playing". Referring to Paco Jémez and his way of convincing him, he said "I wasn’t getting much playing time at Eibar, and so it was easy to say yes, even more so with a trainer like him, who I know well". Regarding the yellows’ current situation, he was clear, saying "the team are only a few points away from safety and I have come here to give my all, and give it all I’ve got for the team".
Referring to his lack of playing time at SD Eibar, Gálvez stated "it might be that I wasn’t as confident as I could be, or that the trainer just preferred other teammates", he concluded.
