De Galarreta: "UD meets with all my requirements"
"I’ve had a number of different offers, and UD Las Palmas met with all the requirements I was looking for" declared De Galarreta in his presentation as Las Palmas’ latest signing. The midfielder expressed his excitement about coming to play on the island,
De Galarreta has been unveiled to the press as a new yellows’ player, and in his presentation the young footballer explained he was swayed by the interest shown by the club to have him play for them "Las Palmas have been very keen from the start. I am looking for a club where I can settle down, and I believe I can be happy here".
As for UD Las Palmas’ fluent playing style, Ruiz De Galarreta stated "they play a beautiful and attractive kind of football. I am here to add my own excitement and hard work". In terms of how he plays on the pitch he was quick to say he doesn’t compare himself to anyone, let alone saying whether he will be a key part of the set up this season, saying "I am a team player, I want to help the team as much as possible to achieve our objective". He added, "Las Palmas are a big club and deserve to be playing First Division football".
"I have trained hard in pre-season, and physically I feel fine. I am now just looking forward to getting started with my new team-mates and getting stuck in with the group" he said, on the subject of getting down to work. With reference to Jiménez, Iñigo stated "he has had a long career, and the numbers stack up in his favour. I have learnt different concepts with every manager I have played for, and all of them have helped me develop as a player".
