There are no reactions yet. Be the first!

Las Palmas had a dubious beginning, with some dis adjustments typical of a preseason game. While the Malaga pressure were more intensive the Canarian defense insisted in playing the ball side to side. Later, when the ball management was improving. The Carranza audience started to cheer up the “yellows”, that in the minute 10 had its first clear chance to score with a cross shoting by Boateng.

In the midfield, Lemos and the youngster Fabio elaborated the attack football. The uruguayan was not a stranger in his new position as center half-back. Málaga started to see itself inferior without the ball and stopped the game with continuous fouls. In the 18’, Boateng stood alone in front of the Malaga goalie, but his shot hit the outside of the net.

Malaga´s stamina made three goal chances in a row. Las Palmas left holes in the midfield which almost costed them a goal. Chichizola had to intervene with remarkables actions to save the goal. The “yellow” dominion started to fade away and the Malaga arrivals were each time more frequent, that with directs attacks was gaining thrust.

The talent when it shows is from Las Palmas. A cross pass by Jonathan Viera to Dani Castellano ended in a foul inside the goal area. Boateng, with a hard shoot, scored the first in the windy night of Cádiz (min. 39). In another Jonathan Viera´s witchcraft the scored could have been increased. Pity the crossed kick by Boateng that went out tight to the post. At the end of the 45 minutes Las Palmas was ahead in the score. (1-0)

In the second half Malaga did not hesitate to look for a fight against Las Palmas to find their way. The generous effort of the yellow defenses aborted any approach to the area. The game was lacking in magic. Las Palmas did not reach the game they wanted, while the Andalusians did not change their style of play with long balls. Las Palmas scored the second with a Pedro Bigas’ header (66 minutes). The Mallorcan centered on a measured ball of Tana. The match entered a phase of misrule, with comings and goings that ended in nothing.
The team of Márquez is still in the shooting phase. Less than a week from his Liga game in Valencia, the team finishes its preseason without losing a single match.

With few remaining minutes of the game the referee showing a red card to two players, one of each team, David Simón from Las Palmas and Recio in the part of the Málaga.
