Mauricio Lemos, UD Las Palmas’ Uruguayan international, has a contract with the club that runs until 2021. He is going out on loan to Sassuolo from the Italian league, as a deal has been struck today following the player’s successful medical review . Sassuolo also reserve the right to buy the player, either this season or next, depending on whether they decide to extend the loan deal a further year.

Lemos arrived at UD Las Palmas in the 2015/2016 season from Russian side Rubín Kazan. UD Las Palmas acquired the sporting and economic rights of the Uruguayan defender in May, having bought the player outright in accordance with the loan deal signed on 29th January 2016.

Mauricio Lemos has played a total of 62 official matches with the yellows, scoring five goals. This season he has clocked up 1,262 minutes in 16 league games (the fifth most used player), and 180 minutes in two Spanish Cup matches.
