UD Las Palmas presented Iván Jaime as their new player on Monday, with the sponsorship of JP Financial. The footballer joins the Gran Canaria team on loan to strengthen the offensive area of the squad and contribute his talent and associative ability in the final third.
Vicente Gómez, a member of the Sports Management, was responsible for welcoming the new player and wanted to thank him "for the commitment he has shown from the very beginning." Regarding his characteristics, he highlighted that "he is a dribbling-style player who can play in various positions, especially in the attacking third," in addition to confirming that his incorporation is "on loan with a purchase option."
For his part, Iván Jaime explained that the sports project was one of the main reasons that led him to decide on UD Las Palmas. "They presented the project to me in a very appealing way, and I think that was the main reason for coming," he said. The player also had the opportunity to watch the match played in Ceuta live, an experience that reinforced his good feelings. "I think the style of play is very similar to mine," he stated.
These were some of his statements:
"I think Las Palmas is a First Division team, although now, due to circumstances, it is in another category. We are going to work daily and in every training session to achieve that goal."
"They were very clear with me, and from there, we kept talking and staying in touch." "I spoke with the coach, and he gave me very good vibes. I am someone who is guided a lot by vibes, and there is a very good atmosphere, which I like."
"I have always said that I like to be different, both on and off the field. I really enjoy one-on-ones, finishing plays, and making the final pass. I like everything related to attacking, although I also sacrifice myself when it comes to helping in defense."
"Everyone knows this club. I have been away from Spain for many years, but I know the team and a bit about the city. I've only been here a few days, and the people are wonderful. I am loving the island."
"The feelings are very good, and the atmosphere in the group is incredible. We are very united, and even with the few days I've been here, I can see it clearly. That is very important when stepping onto the field."
"There are many players with a high level, and the team as a whole is great. That helps individually. What has surprised me the most is the group dynamic; there is a lot of unity, and that helps individual talents to shine."
"I am not here to say that I came because I am going to play; I came to help the team. What everyone has conveyed to me is a very positive vibe. If being important means helping the team in any way, then I will be."
"Pressure doesn't affect me, whether for better or worse. I am a positive person, and I think we have a very exciting year ahead."
"I don't have a clear idol. I like players who do different things and that style of footballer. You have to fail to try again. I don't compare myself to anyone; I focus on myself and improving every day."
