Aythami Artiles has withdrawn from the club following an agreement reached on both sides. The Arguineguin-born defender played a total of 275 official matches for the yellows during his eight years at the club, over two different periods.

He made his first team debut in Segunda División B, under the orders of trainer David Amaral in the 2004/2005 season. Two seasons later he was transferred to Deportivo de La Coruña where he stayed for 6 seasons, including a year and a half out on loan to Xerez Deportivo, with whom he achieved promotion to the First Division.

In the 2013/2014 season he returned to UD Las Palmas, and is now moving on five years later, having been part of the successful promotion campaign to the First Division in 2014/2015. He scored 11 goals in the league and 2 in the Spanish Cup.

The club wishes to thank Aythami Artiles for his professionalism and dedication over the years he has spent as player and captain of the team, while wishing him the best of luck both personally and in his sporting future.
