Also presented last Thursday was the documentary film called 'Tardes de Gloria' at the press conference room in the Estadio de Gran Canaria, the work of Canarian director Gustavo Socorro. Those attending the event included the director himself, as well as Antonio Morales, President of the Cabildo and Miguel Ángel Ramírez, President of UD Las Palmas, along with other leading personalities such as Jorge Petit, concillor for the Hospital Perpetuo Socorro, Jorge Sánchez, managing director of Ahemon-Pepsi, who has had a hand in the making of this film.

Tardes de Gloria "takes us on an exciting voyage around the social and sporting circles surrounding UD Las Palmas”, according to Gustavo Socorro. “The aim of the film is not just to highlight the figures and all those who have been part of the history of the club, but to delve deep into the sentiments and indelible links forged between the team and the whole of the island", Socorro underlined.

The premiere of this film will take place on 15th November at the Gran Canaria Arena and on 17th November at the historical cinemas Capitol in the Gran Vía in Madrid, and will be available at other cinemas from the first week in December.

The work will feature many leading figures in the history of the club, including Germán Dévora, Juan Carlos Valerón, Miguel Ángel Brindisi, Quique Wolff, and Koke Contreras. Others to be featured are some of the current players, such as Jonathan Viera. A number of ex directors and former presidents including Germán Suárez and José de Aguilar also give their opinions, not forgetting the experiences of Miguel Ángel Ramírez, current president of UD Las Palmas. Not forgetting of course input from leading sports journalists.

This project has counted on the collaboration of UD Las Palmas and the support of sponsors including AHEMON-PEPSI and HPS (Hospital Perpetuo Socorro). Others to have taken part include the Ralons Foundation, Arehucas and V Energy. Special sponsors are Maspalomas Costa Canaria (from the San Bartolomé de Tirajana Town Hall), Cabildo de Gran Canaria through the Island Sports Institue and the Gran Canaria Tourist Board.
