Sandro Ramírez appeared this Wednesday ahead of the match that UD Las Palmas and AD Ceuta FC will play on Sunday, at the Gran Canaria. He began the press conference by dedicating a few words to Tino, a collaborator of the yellow entity for decades: “I would like to say a few words for Tino Vega. Yesterday was a sad day for all of us who knew him since childhood. He was a very important person within UD Las Palmas. We have unforgettable memories of him, always with his kindness, smile, and helping everyone. I was one of them. He will always be remembered as an important part of the club. Whatever his family needs, we will be available for anything necessary.”

The yellow striker assured, “All the rivals in the Second Division push hard, and we have to do the same, to give a little more like the other day.”

Some of his statements:

“It was important to feel the love of my family. I spend more time with my teammates than with my own family. They have been a fundamental part of the whole recovery process. When there were difficult days, when I doubted myself, they were there to support me.”

“I have a very special relationship with Jesé. He has been a fundamental part of my process. The other day he predicted that it was the day and that I was going to score. He was completely sure. And you could see in the celebration that he was the first to arrive. I have a very special affection for Jesé.”

“The most difficult thing was the uncertainty of knowing if you are going to be okay. I tried, and we saw that it wasn’t possible because the knee wasn’t responding as we thought. We had to stop and go back, with training in the gym. It has been a long process, but I always had the support of my teammates and the club.”

“I have been playing with some teammates for many years, and they know that these final moments of the league are the ones I like. I think I compete best when things get tough. It’s a key moment of the season, and I am very eager after being absent for so long. And feeling the love of my people and the coach is a fundamental part of performing at the highest level.”
