Pepe Mel: "The good thing about football is that we get another chance on Thursday"

Pepe Mel put out many new faces in his starting line-up, and explained "we've got lots of players who have had to sit on the subs bench through injury, and I wanted them to be fit for the game against Sporting". 

 

"We were doing fine until the first goal. Then from the 25th minute onwards our rivals were better than us" he pointed out. He also said he was the only person responsible for today's defeat, because "I take the decisions, sometimes they come off and sometimes they don't". 

 

He ended by saying "nothing came off for us today. It is the only game I believe we didn't deserve to win or draw". Mel hopes to get his main players back for upcoming matches "because as we are playing midweek games we need to use the whole squad".
