Paquito: "They were better than us on the day"
Paquito, who was once again stand-in manager for UD Las Palmas in Mendizorroza, spoke following his team’s defeat tonight, "they were better on the night, we had the ball at times but we didn’t create any real chances". He recognised that “they are worth
Paquito said after the defeat against Deportivo Alavés that "it always hurts to lose" adding "after a couple of good games, three games would have been great, but now we must look ahead to our next match".
Refering to tonight’s game, he said "we both came into this match in similar positions, we knew that they broke quickly and tonight they were that much more intense and pushed forward more".
As for the mood in the dressing room, Paquito was clear, saying "it is a tricky situation, but the players have to clear their minds and think ahead to the next match with a clear head", as he concluded the press conference in the press room at Mendizorroza.
