“The result is completely unfair. We deserved so much more” stated Paco Herrera following this afternoon’s draw against Tenerife at the Estadio Gran Canaria.

Paco Herrera said the scoreline in the derby was unfair, “if the ball had hit David’s arm it would have been a fair draw, but it even left us with a man down”, adding “we are going to contest David García’s sending off”.

“We had several chances to put the game beyond reach, but we need to make better decisions” said Herrera referring to the goal-scoring chances his side made. The manager once again said he saw an improved side in the match today, saying “we really pushed forward and the team went all out for the win”. He is now clearer on how things are going, and he recognized “I am nearer achieving what I want. I hope to see progress in this sense”.

The starting line-up for Las Palmas showed changes, with natural wide players being given their chance, and Paco Herrera believes “the wings give us more chance”. Fidel came on from the start, and his manager justified his substitution, saying “he was tired. He put in a tremendous effort out there and I hope he will be able to play the full 90 minutes for us next week”. Danny Blum also started the match, and his manager said “I hope it continues that way”.
