Mel explained that his team's mission was "to stretch them but we moved the ball around too slowly and with the lack of pace we showed today that made it quite hard", adding "in the last twenty minutes were became over-anxious in our efforts to win the match".
"I consider I am in a big club and we cannot make do with being mid-table. I always want more" he underlined. Mel decided to play Tana in his starting line-up, after the player had returned to the club in December, and stated "we didn't expect him to resolve all our problems because he has not played competitively for a long while, so we need to look after him and wait for him to hit top form".
Pepe Mel concluded by speaking of his team's needs up front and says it is in the hands of the club, "as they are aware of our needs and are working on it".
