Luis García appeared at the end of the match against R. Racing Club (4-1), held at the Estadio El Sardinero. In his analysis of the game, the yellow coach highlighted that "I think the first half was very even. The second goal hurt us a lot," to which he added: "We were very eager to tie the game, and that led us to moments of haste. We were not very precise in those actions. We made mistakes that we usually don't make, and we take responsibility for them as such."
These were some of his statements:
"I feel very sorry for the players. I feel very sorry for our people. Have no doubt that this, far from hurting us, will give us the energy to move forward. I am fully confident that the team will move forward."
"The action of the first goal seemed like something more to me. I think that when a player has the position won, with the ball won, and the opponent pushes or charges you from behind, it unbalances you, and I think that situation is a foul. Regardless of that action, Racing deserved the victory."
"With Iker's substitution, we were looking for the ball to stay a bit more and give us depth. I think nowadays we all know each other, it didn't surprise us, in that third goal there was a lack of coordination in our center-backs that led to the goal. It was something anticipated, we were not the winners of the duels we usually are."
"Everything is very even. Very tight. With a minimal point difference. This is eternal, and nothing will be decided until the last ten or seven matchdays. We have to have a positive mindset and be self-critical to keep improving. It's a game that has to teach us many things."
