Sergio Araujo keeps his commitment to UD Las Palmas by returning to his home club, having helped Greek side AEK Athens to a domestic league title. He has re-signed for a five years, keeping him at the club until the 2022/2023 season.

“I am grateful to the president”, the player added, “for the interest he has always shown in me to help me be successful at the club, plus all the kindness shown by my teammates in the dressing room”.
