Álvaro Lemos was presented today as a new signing at the headquarters of Domingo Alonso Gran Canaria. At the presentation were Nicolás Ortega, vice-president of UD Las Palmas and Magüi Melián, Director General of the Domingo Alonso Group.
"I want to play in the First Division, and the quickest way to get there is to join a club like this" stated the Galicia-born defender. With reference to how he will slot into the team, he was clear, saying "I am a wide player, I started out a fullback, and now I am an attacking winger".
Lemos acknowledged the difficulties of the Spanish Second Division, but he stressed that "we need to take it a game at a time, stay cool, and gradually keep winning games".
