Still waiting for the rest of the day's results, UD Las Palmas approaches the halfway point of the calendar in a position of direct promotion and awaits the symbolic 'winter title' of the second Spanish league.

After a few minutes of equal analysis, UD Las Palmas was the first to have an opportunity to score the game's first goal. Marc Cardona started the play with a ball to Oscar Clemente, whose cross shot went wide of the post. The player bemoaned a squandered opportunity at the outset of a tight match.

The final match of the first round was played normally, until an event after 14 minutes caused an upset in García Pimienta's game plan. Nuke Mfulu was sent off with a direct red card at the time, following a disagreement over a split ball in midfield. As a result, Las Palmas was forced to face the rest of the match with fewer players.

The Gran Canaria coach put Fabio González on the field, losing Oscar Clemente, with the intention of restoring the field's centre. In the face of hardship, the island players quickly revolted on the field.

Marc Cardona made it 0-1 in the 27th minute after several Las Palmas plays that caused danger. The forward interacted with Alberto Moleiro, who first supported him with a deep ball. Marc approached and crossed the ball low before goalie Jorgensen fled the field.

Las Palmas had accomplished the most difficult task: they had not only recovered from the severe setback, but they had also scored the game's first goal. And he was still able to increase the lead a few of occasions, with the greatest effort coming from Sergi Cardona, whose thunderous shot soared high.

Las Palmas also came through numerous tough times in the second half unharmed. In the 60th minute, the referee gave a penalty, which the VAR assisted to overturn. In the contested play, Sergi Cardona seized the ball cleanly from Fer Nio. And the biggest chance for the side came from Gran Canaria forward Arana, whose shot was saved by the post. The ball, however, collaborated with the islanders and wound up in the hands of Alex Domnguez, who had a lot of work in the last stretch of the game.

However, the 0-1 score remained until the 96th minute.
